Cecil Atkinson Motors deceptive practices in repairing 2002 Dodge Ram PU, had service at least five times this year, many more last year ripoff

We've had our 2002 Dodge QuadCab in for service for numerous problems, including repeated problems with the cruise control, gas gauge, check engine light, ac blower motor, blower motor wiring and each time they "fix" the problem, it only seems to stay "fixed" for about a month or so. A lot of the problems they claim are due to the change in "software" that they had to download to the truck.

The blower motor has gone out at least three, four times. This truck overheated on the second day we drove it after purchase. Now, this past month, when we took it in for the cruise control/gas gauge problem, yet again, while they had it in the garage to repair, suddently the head gasket is blown, requiring a repair which took three days.

Immediately after driving it off the lot after the head gasket repair, there was a noise in the steering column and the gas light came on yet again. Took it back in a couple of days later to check on the noise&the mechanic had apparenly dropped a screw into the column, couldn't find it, so he left it there.

Now, after only a matter of about a month or so, we have just gotten our truck out of their service again. The head gasket was blown again leaving us to believe that the head possibly got warped from the last time they ran it after they knew it was blown, and that they didn't bother to check on that before installing the new head gasket. They again kept the truck for three-four days for repair.

Although we're ready to agree that it's possible that ALL the problems we've had with our Dodge PU are not the fault of Cecil Atkinson and their service crew, we do firmly believe many of the items we have taken it in for service for, were perhaps "repaired" by service people who were either unqualified to do the work or that they were just "too busy" getting vehicles in and out to concern themselves with the actual problem and repairing it right the first time.

We will also be writing a report on Chrysler/Dodge with regard to our numerous problems with our truck, believing that some of the items are manufacturer flaws that should be looked into as a possible recall issue.
