Saylorsburg Auto Lied about recall then reports repo on credit when was voluntary

March I purchased a 2003 Saturn Vue from Teds Used Cars. Before purchasing I asked Jim to check to see if the recall was done on the known transmission problems with this model. I knew about the tranny problems and the recall from a friend owning same make and model. I specifically told Jim I would not buy this vehicle if the the recall was not done. I was told it was done by him. When I purchased the Saturn it only has about 75000 miles on it. Within 10 months from buying, the tranmission is slipping and was told it would have to be changed. I spoke to Jim and the mechanics there and was told they could put another transmission in but it would be used one and it would cost me close to 3 grand. I shopped around and to put in a new transmission would cost 5000-6000. I was told by Jim and many others at Teds to bring it in so they can fix. How do you expect me to do that when I am (1) working 2 states away and (2) I am not gonna put a used one in knowing the tranny track record with this type of car and needing a reliable car to commute. I got so tired of Teds giving me the run around about the tranny. I told them that I was going to voluntarily surrender the car and to come pick it up because I was two states away working and I would not have a repossesion on me. They were fine with that.

While waiting for them to come get the car the transimission completely dies and is no longer drivable. It took them about 2 week to get the car. I did my own research after they picked up the car and found out that the tranny recall was NOT! Done. Jim lied all along. If only i knew before I bought the car. I bought a car from them before buying the Saturn and never really had an problem. Thinking after a year of the Saturn going back to them I would finally purchase a brand new car. Come to find out that I was denied because Teds Used Cars put a repossesion on my credit. It was never a repossession, it was a voluntary surrender. It should of never been on there. Now I can't buy a car or anything because they screwed up my credit so bad now and I was told it could take up to 7 years for it to be removed also. They lie just to get you to buy the car and try to use crappy used parts to fix the cars. I will never buy a car from them again.
