Dis-service and dishonesty

Cars & Transport

I would never buy a car from them again nor would I recommend them to
anyone! Our list of poor service/out right lies is outrageous!

First I have to start by saying, I never left my name and number when I phoned, but they phoned me the next day with a different car to sell. The biggest lie was from the salesman Harry ' it has a CPO for 12 months or 12000 miles', he stated in the first call and EVERY time we spoke to him. He even made a point, MORE than once, to go in and double check the
paperwork during the sales visit. But when given a pile of papers at the sale, there was no CPO!!! It was only when we took the car to our local dealer that they told us it expired 3 months ago. It took us FOREVER to speak
to the owner ' he is at the auction' etc. Eventually we did, and 4 weeks later he made amends, BUT the main thing the car needs repaired is not covered in the warranty he gave us. Of course, we've asked him to pay for it, but to date, they are still ignoring us.

The day we test drove the car, the battery struggled to turn over. Harry said, it just needs a charge. Which they did, but the day we went back to buy the car, it still had the same problem. Since it was a Saturday and we live out
of town, they gave us '$100' towards getting a new battery. Of course he thought that was fair. But it cost us $387 to have a new one put in.

When we test drove the car, one of the front tires was so bare, the white thread was showing. Had we not seen that, I believe they would have let us drive off the lot with them. They replaced them, a cheaper product,
bu the screw was they put the thread bare tire in the trunk as our spare! Oh but he thought he was so professional showing me the tire. Big whoopie, I just trusted him and didn't look closely, my fault! We just got our registration and plates, of course we paid for the expired registration, 3 months prior to our purchase!

We take full responsibility of not fully understanding the paperwork we signed. I thought the CPO would just be put in our packet, I should have asked at the closing for it. I kick myself that I did not. It would have changed everything. My belief is they categorically knew it was expired, he outright lied. We drove away and they said' mugs'! Of course the owner took the money and spent it at the auction the next day, so when we asked to return the car, he didn't have the money.

We acknowledge that they eventually gave us a 12 month 12000 warranty. It will help, but to start the part that needs to be fixed is $645, plus the $387 for the battery - we are a grand out of pocket.in all the cars I have ever bought, I have never had such a terrible experience. I've never had to go back to the dealer for anything! All of this has soured our new car experience for a car I so wanted! I drive it everyday so bummed.
