Goodyear Credit Card Goodyear Tire Rebates is a TOTAL SCAM!

I purchased a set of Triple Tred Assurance tires October 29 and was to receive an $160 rebate from Goodyear for opening a Goodyear Credit Card Account and charging the tires on there. I completed and sent all the paperwork in to the rebate address two days later via the fax number provided. Around early December I called the rebate hotline and asked about my status. I was told "it was not in the system yet" and to call back in a "few weeks".

I then sent all the paper work again via the mail and called them again the end of December and was told the same crap. I was told "they probably haven't entered it in the system and I had to call back in two more weeks". I checked the online rebate page and see 2 separate entries for rebates. One for ONLY $80 and another for $160. I called back guessing since I faxed the first time and then sent via mail the second they may have gotten confused. I asked if I could remove / delete the $80 rebate as I was entitled to the $160 rebate cause I spent $863.54 total for the Triple Tred Assurance tires. The Rep informed me they cannot remove it from the system and they will just void one of the rebates once they determine which is the correct one I am entitled to.

Today, January 31, THREE months later... I called again and I am now told it will probably be ANOTHER 6-8 weeks before I can possibly expect my refund/rebate. They also told me it would be for $80. I explained to them that I should receive $160 for purchasing a qualifying set of tires. The rep claims that they have to investigate further and I would have to call back in a few days.

Goodyear and its owners of the credit card, Citi Bank are basically lying to people and offering rebates that they are not paying. I am so angry and will never ever buy another Goodyear tire again. As soon as I am done paying off the $863.54 they charged me for the tires I will cancel that garbage credit card. OH did I mention it's a whopping 28.99% interest rate on purchases!!! This is BS and Roberry!!! F.U. Goodyear & CitiBank.
