Rebate scam

Went to Advance Auto for oil and filter. They were having a special on castrol oil and Bosch filters with rebate. Sent original receipt to castrol and made a copy for bosch. A month later I receive a check for 7$ from castrol and a postcard from Bosch saying they would not pay it because it was not the original receipt

This is ridiculous as you are not given two receipts also they only need the sale number. I am a mechanic by profession. I promise you I will NEVER buy a Bosch anything! Scam!!!
