Ripoff - Taking advantage of you

The incident happened last December. I just found out this website that you can at least voice out your feelings. My experience (or stupidity and softness) might help others. This is how it goes. Sometime in a week or two before we went to Board Ford in Whittier, we receive a very nice letter from Ford which is supposedly came from Florida. Saying that, your car - Expedition Eddie Bauer 2002 is the most seek model by our clients, and because of this please bring your car to Board Ford in Whittier and we will give you a better price for your car and for just going there we will give you a nice set of knives. We (me and my wife) thought, why not.

When we arrived in Board Ford Whittier, I told them about it. They (Board Ford - whittier) took the letter and they took the key (my first mistake). They are saying that they just want to see the car. Then, the salesman took us to the parking to show the new cars, we go around. Then, we try to drive one of those expedition which in my mind is also an Expedition-Eddie Bauer but with lesser accessories. Then, they borrow our license (mine and my wife) and brought us to one of the cubicles. Everything is going fine, they gave us a quote, they even promise to put a running board. I feel it is okay, until I found out that it is just Expediton (sport) I am not sure how they call it but certainly not a Eddie bauer or the XLT. I told them I am sorry, it is my mistake that I thought that it is the same Eddie Bauer with lesser accessories. I said I am not interested anymore and I want to go home. They started shouting, (the salesman, and his manager if I remember it right). They are saying that I know from the beginning that it is not Eddie Bauer. I still told them I am very sorry it is my mistake that I thought it was Eddie Bauer.

I told them "No" I am not interested anymore, but they continue to speak in a very high voice which scared us (we are not used to this kind of people). I tried to get the key, they do not want to give it to us. They continue to hold us there, trying to put the sale in our throat. We continue to say "no" and we want to go home please give back our key and our licenses (I should have called the police - my another mistake.) Until my little daughter became restless because she already wanted to go home. We alreay spent a lot of time there. We were so exhausted and scared so we just go on with whatever they want, just signed all the documents they asked us to sign. Just to get over it. Even though, we already signed everything we were not able to go home right away because the one who kept our license, went home with our license with him. We still waited for him to go back.

The effect to me was too much, I was not able to sleep soundly for about a month, actually I was having trouble of sleeping of about a month or more because I was forced to do something I do not want to do.

When the survey came in for the car.in the comments, I told Ford about the same story and I told them not to tell Board Ford-Whittier about my comments because I was still scared of the experience and they might get back on us.
