I paid AAMCO over $2500.0 for a complete re-build of the automatic transmission in my 1998 Chevrolet 3500 pick up truck. THe rebuild was to include compliance with service recomendations and upgrades published by GM since its construction. The truck was used primarily as a second vehicle for occasional towing duties well within its published, and, tolerated limits, however, the rebuilt treansmission failed in less that 3000 miles. After finally locating my paperwork I returned to find the franchisee had gone out of business and I could not, and, cannot even now, get a response from AAMCO corporate. I've had mechanics since analyise my transmission and they all say it needs a new or rebuilt transmission, which, begs the question, what did they really do for the money I paid them.
