Core Refunds Are Like Pulling Teeth

My auto repair shop had been buying from Greenleaf Rcyclers for many years with not one parts or service complaint. Core refunds were handled on the spot at their facility. Not with this company that bought them out. My checks cleared within a week of being written but when it came to a core refund, 4 weeks stretched into 5,5 into 6,6 into 7. Accounts payable does not answer the extension, you always get a recording. On the other hand, accounts receivables after 3 rings. If you leave a message on the payable voice machine, no calls were returned to me on both the shop line or my cell phone. And the core return work order that the driver has and we sign, it states core refund requested.

In other words, don't keep my core and build up a credit balance. This money serves me better in my bank account and not theirs (banks pay interest or issue a discount fee to corporations' banking accounts). It is apparent to me that there is a deliberate attempt to delay the refunds as long as possible. I can understand that this could be an oversight and 1 phone call is not an issue but 3 or 4 calls? And then, with multiple core refunds due and only one is issued? This is bad policy. And when I'm told that refunds can't be issued on checks until check clearing verification is done, is 6 weeks since the check cleared and 3 weeks since the cores were returned enough time.

This borders on the rediculous to the point that I feel that my business is insignificant to them. I choose to take it elsewhere and I suggest that others that are also getting the same treatment do the same. When a business no longer has the customer's best interest at heart, it is time to go elsewhere.
