False claim

I was contacted by a very pushy sales representative from this company that knew all the details of my car that I had for sale (in my local newspaper) & claimed that "they had people in my area looking for this specific car & in the price range I was looking for & was positive they could sell my car to one of these people for a one off fee of £99.00." I told them I had already laid out £50 on adverrtising it locally & they instantly reduced the fee to £44.99.

Since paying this amount over the phone by credit card I have heard not a single thing from any so-called purchaser & think it was all a big con.

They have put it on their web site to browse - but they made a claim that they already had people wanting a car exactly like mine - if so why have I not received a single call?

If I was told the plain truth & that they were just offering an internet advertising service I would deffinately have declined their offer, & think I have been grossly miss-lead.
