The gas return openings on top of filter are included in the required doughnut magnet that rests on top of the filter. This magnet limits the gas circulation to cool the transmisson. The AC along with other transmisson filters have positioned the openings furthur toward the exterior of the filter so moves aren't limited.

That Is on the 2005 K3500 chevy with Duramax/Allison combination.

The proposed Fram is filter #P9264.

I'd this filter on for the Alaska journey and did encounter large indication conditions-perhaps in the filter limitation.

I'm truly dissatisfied with Fram, I've utilized Fram filters for all a long time and am today discovering that WIX appears to be a much better filter.
