I was looking for a car on Craigslist. There was an unbelievably priced 2005 Audi A6 for only $2,960 with 56,991 miles on it. That's extremely cheap for an Audi with such low miles on it. There was no VIN, but there was an e-mail address listed. It said if you e-mailed that address, it could tell you the VIN. It was sketchy. I e-mailed it and asked for the VIN. I got a reply saying this:
"Hello,
Thanks for replying to my ad. I'm in a hurry to find a buyer because I have a family emergency and I need to sell it before April 6th. My name is Roy. I'm an Air ForceTechnical Sergeant stationed at the Elmendorf AF Base, Anchorage, Alaska. The vehicle is here with me.
I'm the original owner. It has no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn't been involved in any accident... I do have the title, clear, under my name.
