Kia not honoring warranty

Buyer Be ware

This is not a concern but a strong fact. I recently had a wheel
bearing go out on my 2007 kia sorento still under the kia 5yr/60,000
mile warranty. I was told that this repair would not be covered by kia
but they would cover the wheel bearing but not the damage that the
wheel bearing caused. I have been on the phone with kia, feels like i
have been to Korea and back with this issue. I have to say after my
family purchasing 5 kia cars in the past 3 yrs this is dissappointing.
The main reason why i traded my 2003 ford F-150 in for the Kia was
that the kia was still under warranty, But now that I see that kia
warranty is a smoking screen advertisment for sales. I have spoke with
old friends in the automotive field which are service managers for
Ford and GM they both stated if one of there cars came in the shop
with damage due to defective equipment it would be covered NO
QUESTIONS ASKED. I spoke to another friend that bought a kia optima
with a 5 speed manual transmission, and he stated he had to have
transmission work done on his car and then again he being a mechanic
naturally had to service the car himself after the warranty expired
and he was disgusted with kias work he found missing, damaged and
stripped/rounded bolts put back in his transmission all work done by a
certified kia dealer (Bob Sight Kia of Independence, Missouri)
After This incident and recieving a quote from the kia dealer for
repairs totaling to 2500.00 USD im thourlghlty disgusted with kia
dealers and kia corprate. I dont understand how kia can put a 900%
markup on parts that i can find in the parts store. As far as the
Dealer only parts i will search and scanvage every salvage yard in
this country before i buy parts from kia at a 900% markup.
Futhermore and finally
i will share my experience on every social networking, product review
and any kia website that i can comment on until kia makes this right.
How dare they treat customers like trash, when all there selling is a
s*tbox made in korea.
