Loose Lugnuts after battery change

We recently had a battery change within our 2002 Dodge Stratus which necessatated elimination of the leading drivers side wheel. After driving it for around. 1400 miles my spouse noticed a sound from the front-end but did not know where. She created a scheduled appointment using the seller wherever she purchased the vehicle and upon examination they discovered the 5 lugnuts free. The vehicle was driving around having a free tire. After numerous elimination of the wheels for assessments, wheels etc. This can be a first for all of US. We introduced the broken wheel in addition to the price of the wheel to sears and after time and effort I named the supervisor of sears automotive and he mentioned he coulded reach us on 2 different telephone lines. He mentioned that his chef rejected compensation for that price of the wheel. It appears as though sears just means quality so long as it contains no charge for them
