Price Quote but Raised the Cost 4 times and Then again Once picking it up!

Brought my 1968 Chev. Impala in for an estimate; although they went over it with a fine comb we agreed on a 900.00 job. But thru the process they called 4 times while working on it and raised the price, stating they did not notice that part (though we talked about it during the estimate and the car had not changed).

The last time i told the last time i'd told them, "that's it" roll it out as it was and i'd have it worked on else where! I finally conceded and told them that's it right? They said yes this is the last time, the price is final and set in stone and gave a time line to when it would be completed.

The time line was way exceeded and I even came and helped put the moldings on to get it ready for the car show.

When i went to pick it up they tacked on yet another 100 saying we had to we made nothing on this. So how did a job that started out as 1,000 and wind up being 3,000 did they not make money on.

I have since talked to many others with this type of stuff. I highly recommend not using them!!!
