GM claimes that the noise is just driveline CLUNK and does no harm. Auto ripoff

Cars & Transport

I bought a 2003 Chev. Silverado 4x4 that has a loud noise when it shifts from first to second gear. I brought it to the dealer three times for repair. The third time there was a representaive there and I took him for a test ride. He told me the noise was comming from the rear end and it was normal. He said it was called Driveline Clunk. I was also given a Bulletin which was sent to the dealers discouraging them from attempting to repair the condition. This truck has 10,000 miles on it now but has been doing this from day one. GM said they would put me in a 2004 for an additional five thousand dollars. I tried out a 2004 and it did the same thing. The sales person was suprised when he heard it and asked me, what was that. I think the Klunk is coming from to transmission, not the rear end. I am going back to the dealer again.
