American Auto Guardian, Inc
AAGI denied claim when clearly it should have been paid

Cars & Transport

In May I purchased an extended warrenty with a vehicle I bought. I chose the "Ultimate Coverage" option as it was explained everything was covered much like a factory warranty.in December my vehicle had electronic problems and therefore did not move. I took it to a local dealership and they explained that my electonics needed to be reprogrammed. This was not a routine maintenance issue nor was it a neglect issue. They made me aware that this problem has happened to other vehicles of the same make and model. When the dealership tried to submit my claim, AAGI told them that it was an adjustment and was not a "fix" - so they denied the claim. I then called AAGI to inquire an they said since there is no parts to replace there was nothing for them to pay. I explained once again the diagnosis and the fix for the vehicle was rather inexpensive (around $250.00) and since I paid for the warranty (well over $250.00) that it would make sense for them to pay this, if for no other reason than to honor the sales reps workd who sold it. They again stated that since the vehicle was worked on and there were no physical parts to replace they were deniying my claim. Be very careful of purchasing an AAGI warranty. Very rude on the phone and the "ultimate" coverage is not very ultimate.
