Power Toyota is a scam! They should be shut down for doing what they did to me! I went to them because me check engine light came on. I they told me they would run a diagnostic test on the computer to see what was wrong. 1 hour and 20 min later they tell me my Cat converter is shot and it needs to be replaced ASAP and will cost $2,216.29 plus tax (this is just for one converter). So that is $1616.29 for parts and $600 for labor plus tax. They charged me paid $99.88 to run the test. I went to get a second opinion (which they did not charge me to do the same test) and I was told that was outrageous; and was told my Cat converter on the drivers side did need to be replaced but not right away.

I was told it would cost $641 which includes parts, labor, and tax, and if I wanted to replace both CAT converter then it would be $1,200 max. This is so disturbing and this should not be allowed. I was crying at the dealership and did not know what to do as I was told it needed to be done now! I called my mom and her boyfriend used to work on cars and told me that is not right, take it for a second option, Told him what I was quoted from the 2nd mechanic (not the Dealership) and he said that is what is should cost! Also in May when I got an oil change I was told I needed my front brakes done they were 98% used. I watched my husband change the front brakes 2 weeks before I went to get my oil change at Power Toyota of Irvine. They should not be taking advantage of people this is horible.
