Ripoff wrongful termination of employee

My mother worked as a Service Advisor at Eagle Ford for the past year. She has worked in the automotive business for over 16 years now. She has performed such jobs as Service Manager, Parts Manager, Warranty Administrator, as well as a Service Advisor in a car dealership.

My mother was so used to doing business with customers and fellow businesses. She was terminated at her job for letting a business owner that the company does business with send a check for payment in the mail instead of collecting it from him when the service work was done.

Well, Eagle Ford got their money, but decided my mother no longer had a job there. I don't think it is fair to fire someone over this. She probably should of got the money before she left them take their vehicle from the service department, but she worked in the business enough years to know that businesses usually want to send a check from their business. The business man was the same man that ran the vending machine company that was used in that car dealership and she knew they were not going to get ripped off. After my mother was fired, they opened up an account for that business to be able to send a check after they got their bill.

The reason Eagle Ford did this was simply because they didn't want to lose business from this business, which is what my mother had in mind too. The only problem was the owner of the business was in the process of buying a $50,000 vehicle from Eagle Ford so they did not want to lose him as a customer. I want to know why my mom was fired over this. She wasn't even approach about being fired by the owner, but by the service manager that did not want to fire her. I think she at least deserved to be approached by the person who was firing her and given a reason because that mistake she made shouldn't been grounds for getting fired.
