Incredible add on fees

My son crashed a vehicle one mile from Smarts Towing location. Vehicle was taken on a rollback to their yard. I called and asked how much they said $100 or so but no real answer. I said I would come pick it up the nest day they said no problem.

I went there at my scheduled time and the employee was talking to the owner apparently or maybe his manager but it was the same man I had previously spoken to on the phone. He was writing all kinds of numbers on a bill.

My bill was going to be $385 for a tow!!! I said let me get my truck out of there and that wasnt the price i was told. I asked for an explanation of the charges. He just said this is more and that is more and we ususally charge this amount etc etc.

I asked how I was going to get my truck out and he said I would have to come back in a few days because he could not move it (it was against a fence and I could not get my vehicle next to it to pull it out). He also Said it would be an additional fee if he pulled it out... I saw the croocked game going on...

He wasnt nasty but he kept his distance and no eye contact. I happened to bring a tow truck driver with me and he was not allowed to get my truck out for me.

I went and got my title and handed it over to the man... 1998 awd Mountaineer 100k on the odometer. It was going to continue to cost me more until THEY could get my truck out for me.

Anyway they are crooked dont call them unless you ARENT planning on getting your vehicle back
