Autoinsurancetips.com Antony Montpas Using Craigslist to obtain new business under false pretenses

Cars & Transport

I posted an ad on Craigslist for a vehicle I had for sale.
I received an email response from a person claiming to be Antony Montpas with an email address of antonywkmo@yahoo.com. This person stated he was interested in my vehicle and asked when he could see it.
I responded to his email and then received a second email from the same Antony Montpas with the same email address. This email stated he wanted to know about insurance costs for my vehicle. His email asked me to go to a web site (http://www.autoinsurancetips.com) to get a quote for insurance.
I knew at that point that this was nothing more than a scam because there is no reason for me to get quote for insurance for a vehicle that I already own, and there is no way I can get an insurance quote for a prospective buyer of my vehicle.
Plain and simple, this was a bait and switch tactic used by a less than reputable person who apparently is representing a less than representable company, and I want others to be aware of the shady business practices being used by both the individual and his company.
