Ripoff, dishonest dealership, put lease in my name when I was supposed to be only a co-signer deceptive company

I was 19 years old and went to a car dealership with a friend at the time, Travis Branham. He was trading in a truck for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. His credit was not good, so the salesperson coerced me to co-sign for the lease. I agreed.
When it was time for the paperwork, tons of papers were shoved in my face to sign. Travis also signed many forms. They told me I would be the co-signer. I did not have one piece of identification with me. The salesman lied about my income on the application, among other things.
We left in the Jeep. The payment book arrived a week later in my name. I was shocked to learn the whole deal had been put in my name. When I spoke to the dealership, they said it was too late, too much time had passed, and that was the way it would have to be.
After 6 months, Travis wrecked the Jeep and ever since, I have been making the payments. It has put a strain on me ever since day one. I have gone to Trader Bud's 4 times to try to work something out, but to no avail. The lease is for 5 years, with payments of 363/month. As a college student, this is very difficult. I have spoken to lawyers, but it seems there is nothing I can do but pay for it.
Be careful of Trader Buds. They do not care about their customers, only the money they can get from them at any cost.
