Gordon Nelson False engine diagnosis in an attempt to purchase my car below value

I recently was offered a job to work in Dubai U.A.E. Since this was a permanent position I decided to sell my car. I advertised it in the Autotrader, and within 1 day I sold it. It was in excellent condition. I had not driven the car often over the summer, and on the day I was to bring it for inspection I decided to bring it to the garage and have the oil changed. Driving home after getting the oil changed, I noticed smoke coming off the side of the engine. The car was running perfectly before, so I didnt understand why it was smoking. I brought it back to the garage, and the owner of the garage told my head gasket had blown. First he said it would cost $2000 to repair it. From that he changed to replacing the engine because the head would be warped and probably not last long before it would blow again. Now the cost was up to $2500.00 just for an engine, and labour on top of that. He knew I had sold the car and was leaving for Dubai that Friday. He also knew I had sold the car for $9000.00 CND. This killed the sale I had for the car, since the buyer no longer had confidence that the car was in good condition. Gordon Nelson told me he called another garage that specializes in Audis. He told me that this guy agreed with his diagnosis and that he would buy the car off me for $6000.00 CND. I became suspicious and brought it to the dealer. The dealer said the there was a leaking manifold gasket, not a head gasket. The repair cost me $1000.00. I suspect the garage tampered with the engine since it was running perfectly before.
