I would like to submit my case for your consideration and to help inform other helpless hard working people out there about SCAM ARTIST like Gil Ben-simhon.

I am in the process of filing a Small Claims Civil Suit against Gil Ben-Simhon from Fort Lauderdale Florida. He is the owner/president of CarChoice Motors Inc. Also in Fort Lauderdale.

I have been living in Guam for 2 years now, last year September I started searching on the internet for a cheap vehicle that I could buy cash to keep in the states for when I visit. After doing much research I found a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible on www.AutoTrader.com for $5995. I instantly contacted (via email due to overseas time difference) Mr. Gil Ben-simhon asking questions about the car.

I agreed after much discussion and thorough emails about the cars condition ect. I agreed to give a $2000.00 deposit to HOLD the car until November when I would then make the trip to Ft. Lauderdale to pick up the car and pay the remaining amount due on the car.

After the $2000.00 was then deducted from my banking account contact with Gil and Car Choice came to a HAULT. No calls were returned and all emails were IGNORED.

I was very nervous about the whole situation. I arrived (after flying 24 hours from overseas) to Ft. Lauderdale in Nov. To find NO DEALERSHIP and NO SIGN of Gil.

The suit is in the amount of $2000 and is for a non-refunded deposit on a used car from Mr. Ben-simhon's dealership. He has been very uncooperative and will not repay me ANY of my REFUNDABLE deposit, stating that he "does not have the money now" and "does not know what to tell me other than I don't have it", he concluded saying that he was having "tax problems".

The entire transaction was handled over the phone and internet only. I have records of EVERYTHING.including the emails from Mr. Ben-simhon himself stating that the deposit was in fact "refundable".

There are numerous reports Mr. Ben-simhon and this will expose his corrupt business so more consumers do not have to go through what I am going through.

He is CONTINUING to do unlawful business and SCAM people of out their money via dealership and on craigslist!
