A $ motive or just sheer incompetence?

The $20 Emissions Inspection sign invited me in. I should have known something was wrong. Too many employees standing around with no work to do.

The technician conducting my emissions test broke the seal on my gas cap but instead of just owning up to the mistake and trying to make amends, he came to me saying that he could not do the emissions test because my broken gas cap would cause the test to fail.

When I insisted that my gas cap was functioning perfectly on my arrival at the shop the "supervisor", a young woman, finally agreed to pay me back for a new gas cap if I wanted to go and find one.

I can completely believe the report of the former employee concerning scheduled rip-offs. Steer VERY clear of this bad news business!
