Forced to accept misordered vehicle ripoff abused & mistreated

I brought in a printout from the Toyota web site with the features I desired on my new vehicle. Upon delivery, the interior was the wrong color.

Witnessing, but not having inspected the vehicle prior to meeting with the finance representative, I didn't realize the error until after I had signed the finance papers.

Upon returning the next business day to state my case, I was told that since I had accepted delivery of the vehicle, I now had to keep it.

There were attempts to offer me window bronzing and wood grain dash as compensation, but that was not adequate to me. I simply wanted what I had ordered.

In a second meeting, I was offered to accept a check for $400 as a goodwill token or to return the vehicle where upon I would receive my money back less $1,500 for "the options they had installed for me".

Having been told that I should have inspected the vehicle prior to signing, my reply was, if I had discovered the error prior to signing, they still would have had a vehicle on their hands that they had erroneously ordered. They would've still been in a position to either return the vehicle or place it on their lot for sale.

My feeling is that, because they have my signature on paperwork, I am an appropriate scapegoat for their mistake.in essence, I feel as if they are trying to cram this vehicle down my throat. It's not about satisfying me as a customer, but rather making a dollar and enhancing their sales report.

I tried to exercise my three day right of rescission, but they tell me there is no such thing in this case. I have contacted my attorney and am waiting for further word.
