Stacy @ Customer Service Reliaparts a fraud. Take money but lies are the only thing delivered

Auto Parts Fair referred me to Reliaparts who said they had my part and quoted me a price of $134 for an arm rest for a '98 Audi A8. When I contacted them they wanted me to pay through Alertpay rather than Paypal because they had problems with Paypal. First clue they were sheisters.

Anyway I went ahead and paid them through Alertpay on 1/29/09. I was told at the time that it would take at least 3 weeks for delivery. Consequently I was quite lax in following up on the order. Being retired and not home all that much I think it was at least 6 weeks befor I called. Then started the string of lies by their customer service agent Stacy. All seemed credible and I naturally wanted to believe her. When I called and left a message whe would return my call which also left me to believe she was on the up and up. The first part they received was supposedly defective so they had to locate a satisfactory part. Then multiple promises that it had been shipped by their suppliers. All bold faced lies. Then she was sick and played on my sympathy because she was home sick in bed and couldn't run a tracer on the part.

Finally I contacted Alertpay and they left me to believe that it was past the date for them to press for a refund. However they suggested that I get a tracking or shipping number from Stacy. I pressed her for those numbers but could never get one. If I wanted a refund she would do that. Then a series of hoops to jump through to get the refund which would be made with a postal money order. Eventually got a tracking mumber for the payment via email and told it would arrive in 5 to 8 days. That was on 6/8/09 and still no refund.

I've read other complaints about Reliaparts and they are almost identical to what I have experienced. Someone needs to investigate this company and close them down. I suspect it is just a shame company preying on the public.
