Ripoff artists at their best! 3 rebuilds, 4 months/$1500 labor later, busted transmission. Two months in car and they say warranty is up. Worst custmer service

These guys will sell you a transmission for $2100 w / 6 month warranty. But listen carefully, if you are grinding a gear in your transmission it will probably be grinding when you get it back!
On the third rebuild attempt they finally got it right w / syncros that were sent to them by transmission owner. They said not to worry about it, "we will take care of it" when they were confronted about labor charges that were accrued due to their CRAPPY rebuilds. $1500 in labor later, they say sorry sucker, we aren't covering jack. They experimented on how to rebuild a 3000gt VR4 transmission at owners expense. So for close to $4000 my friend now has a tranny w / a new "case-hardened" output shaft that broke in two.
Speaking of shaft... Phoenix Hardparts knows how and where to stick the shaft... Right up their customers rearend. They twist it around until the pain is unbearable, then sit back and laugh at you. If you are in the market for a transmission for your car, allow me to recommend a cheaper and safer alternative to your tranny problems. KORMEX transmissions in California not only does a great job of rebuilding, but they stand behind their service. They are cheaper and more reliable. Another alternative is to buy a factory new transmission and you'll only have to pay for labor 1 time, not 4 times like you will with Phoenix hardshafts. $1750 at Kormex, $3000 new from dealer & they both will stand behind their service like a man and not whimp out and run to mommy when they should be taking care of customers problems that they themselves caused.
I am telling anyone & everyone about this so you won't lose your hard earned cash and time dealing with these losers. Look elsewhere for many more heads-up about this problem! It will be well known!
