Tried to make repairs on my car that we're not needed

Ok Check this out I recently brought my car into DV for a diagnostic check on the check engine light. My car had been running poorly since it came on and I determined that it was running as designed in a fail-safe mode to protect it from what I'm not sure. Thus I has to bring it to the dealer ship. Once they had it I continued my own investigation into the problem it was having and found out that the 2 codes which I had gotten a read on may have been caused by a low battery and jump start which is what I had just did. I suggested this to D V and got the reply they had never heard of this. I asked them to please reset codes and then check components for failure as there maybe nothing wrong therefore saving me what could be a costly repair.

The next day D V called with the results of the diagnostics and informed me to repair my car would cost $1050 DOLLARS! My instincts told me to decline there services and I would pick my car up. It still cost me $150 to get it back. I then took it to another recommended mechanic told him the story and he would check it out. The next day the mechanic called said my car was repaired and ready for pick up. I asked him what the bill was and the reply still astonishes me. $144 dollars my friends. THATS OVER A $900 SAVINGS.
This dealership is not interested in helping you in the most economical and efficient manner only what they can get out of any and all unsuspecting consumers. Soooo shameful i want to puck: (
