Center Pointe Development / Unique Auto Salon / Uniq Motor Sports / uniqscene all the same orginization.
The parent company is Center Pointe Development, Unique Auto Salon is changing its name to Uniq Motor Sports and starting up a sub company called Uniqscene which will be a magazine.
I was brought in to clean up someone else's mess. I designed and implemented a plan to link 3 buildings together using a VPN, I developed and implemented a plan for setting up all computers to connect to a the router and set up a Linux server. I configured all wireless printers, I configured Samba and secure directories for user groups as well as individual home directories users.
All was working well until until I inquired about invoices over 30 days due for work completed. Then all of a sudden everything from their opinion wasn't working. After several attempts collect the money I gave up. I'm so glad I asked them for a deposit to start the jobs or I would have been out much more money.
I'm not saying these are bad guys I like them just fine. But be more savvy then I was when dealing with them
1 Large deposit up front 85% if you can get it I wouldnt recomend doing the work otherwise.
2 Do not lump work under one bid group it logicaly.
3 Invoice each logical grouped bid and don not start the next until paid.
4 Invoice consistently (which i did)
5 Do not let the invoice linger! Do not take excuses or put offs. Cut off services immediately if beyond your standard net due.
6 MOST IMPORTANT get signatures do not start work with out it.
NOTE I asked about another complaint registered here it was explained away.in not saying don't deal with these people just use some common scene.
