Advertise gift cards and don't stock them

Pride gas stations offered a promotion through the mail. It states that if you bring a receipt or monthly statement of a credit card from the month of March used at a competing gas station into them during the month of April they will give you four $5 gift cards. So I went to get gas and I was told that they ran out and I could come back later that night or go to another Pride down the street (where they may or may not have the gift cards). Nothing else was offered - no rain check of sorts. This is false advertising and completely misleading. I couldn't even get someone on the phone when I returned home.

Since there's many other gas stations around and Pride is flaky I don't see any reason to go there.
