US Fidelis, Dealer Services, Dealer Warranty Extended auto warranty scam

Based on a local TV ad in Orange County, CA I called US Fidelis and purchased an extended warranty. Details of the warranty did not arrive for several weeks. When the warranty arrived the details clearly gave them plenty of room to deny a claim. Parts have to be broken for them to pay, in addition to any other delaying tactics they might have. I also had found all the US Fidelis scam stories on the internet.
When I called back within 45 days of 1st purchase I was told to mail the warranty box back to CDWS, in California, who cover the warranty, not US Fidelis. Even after sending it back via certified mail I got the runaround when trying to get a refund. Every person at US Fidelis had a different story or reason why my refund could not be issued.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau in Missouri, via their website and filed a claim. Within a very short time of this claim I got a partial refund from US Fidelius of about half of the money due. Additional emails and contact with the BBB did not resolve the issue.
I contacted my credit card company and was able to get the complete balance refunded, part from US Fidelis and part from Mepco, in Chicago, Ill. After the first payment additional payments were being billed by Mepco.US Fidelis seems to have worked out a way to have all these companies in the picture which complicates getting a refund.
If you keep very accurate records of when you called and who you spoke to it seems you can eventually get your money back, especially if you used a credit card. It took about two months for me and hours of phone calls and mailing packages and letters. It is amazing that this company can run TV ads for a product which is completely worthless. If they really had a good product they would not make cancellation so hard. The day my warranty package showed up at CDWS, the person at that company said they received 52 packages for returned US Fidelis warranties on that day alone.
