How I Was Cheated By When the Auto Insurance premium amount increased with in seconds

I had a shoking first insuring experince with GEICO yesterday. I was sweetly cheated by the GEICO by its personnel Kathaleen who took my Auto Insurance claim yesterday. I got a quote for $1000 quote.

I promptly called in 800-861-8380 to know whether this can be reduced to around $650. She was telling me about few options and told me that she can work out to $746 for which I agreed. Then she went ahead preparing logging my insurance cover.

I GOT HER ASSURANCE TWICE FROM HER BEFORE GIVING MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER that it should be $746 only. She went ahead proceed it and took monthly premium of $192.35 and promptly sent an email also with policy no *82_1 and asked me to speak to a customer service with in few minutes of receipt to get my cover completed in all respects. When I asked if she will take me through, she said she will not but a customer service will do that.

I called customer service after creaing id and pw with the policy number allotted to me in 1-800-841-7475 and I was taken to a rude shock that the premium is $1000. When I asked the guy who attended the call said i need to pay $1000 only and no where he could see $746. And he put me on hold and tried to reach Kathaleen in vain and turned back and said sorry. And he cant really do anything at this moment as everything is over. He gave the number 1-800-841-3000 to speak anything on this.

I called 1-800-841-3000 only to get a reply that GEICO is ocean and I cannot trace any Kathaleen. She heard my sad state of affairs with so many sorriys and was kind enough and offerred to cancel my policy with out any penalty. She said the amount wil be reversed with in 24 to 48 hours in my credit card $192.35. It is not credited back so far, how ever it is only 24hours when I write this.

My first insurance experince in USA ended thus.
