In July I was stationed in South Korea.in April I shipped my Daewoo to DC since that is where I am from.

I was having problems with my transmission and called Koons to see if they could help me. Blair Jenkins said that he would be happy to help, but, Daewoo was in the process of being transfered to GM so it might take awhile.

I understood that and it did not matter because I would be gone for at least a year. He kept giving me the run around on what the status of my car was. I was not only calling long distance but international long distance.

My mother called on my behalf many times and was told that they were awaiting parts. Then the story was Daewoo was sending the wrong parts. My mother asked for the part number and called Daewoo herself, and they had no record of any parts being ordered. She ordered the parts and had them sent to Koons.

After three and a half months they still claimed they didnt have the right part even though she ordered the part they told her to.

My mother finally found another dealership two hours away in Hagerstown Maryland that said they would help me. My car has been at Power in Hagerstown since October and they have kept me informed about the status of my car. Even though the warranty ran out in January they still fixed my car.

I dont think Koons understands the effects a Military ban (when military members are not authorized to use a certain facility) would have on them since the DC area has a high Military content.

I will be buying my next car from Power when I get back to the states even though they are 2 hours away from my home.
