Rock Honda
Consumer rip-off fraud california style!

My son, age 21, went to rock honda in fontana to look and possibly purchase the honda hybrid vehicle. He left that same day in the car of his dreams having traded in his honda accord, (which is in my name not his) gave them 4500 dollars in cash and signed a lease.

Approximately a week later they notified him that the loan was not funded. He went back down to get his car and money back but they told him no, they couldn't take the car back, it was now a used car, and they had already sold his accord. (i never signed off the car.)

He agreed to call me and see about obtaining a co-signer. I had rock honda send me the paperwork and called them stating i would not co-sign on the lease, but wanted to renegotiate a new contract, purchasing the vehicle, not leasing. I was told they would have to get back with me which they never did, instead calling my son stating a deal was a deal and he couldn't change anything.

We were then advised, by a friend, to contact dmv, which he did two weeks ago, and he has been promised some kind of answer by next week.

Meanwhile, this past weekend, rock honda had the new car repossessed stating he failed to make any payment. What payment? There was no contract, therefore, make a payment to whom.

My son called rock honda this morning only to be told he will not be getting his car (my car) nor any of the money he put down. This can't be right.
