Mitsubishi Motors Credit Of America ripoff balloon payment of $10,000.00

We bought the car in 2002 brand new and like everyone else the dealership encouraged us to get the diamond option plan, not mentioning that it would be a balloon payment, Very misleading. My husband and I had not been married 6 months and being at a very immature age we never thought to ask why, this was our first new car and we were so excited. Now 7 years later we are still paying for the vehicle and every statment we get it seems the price doesn't change. The car was repossed on 1/1 and we got the car back on 02/05 they told us in order to get the car back it would be 1485.46 and 390.00 to the contractor for picking up the car. Therefore 1090.46 would be applied to what we owed. Then in the meantime we we mailed in a payment on 12/29 of 327.65 so we have as of 01/13 paid 1418.11 now we are getting a statement in the mail with 20.14past due payment and 24.86 late charges. We have tried to do the right thing and these people are still tryin to screw us. Could someone please help us?
