Rip-off sent car cover for repair they lost cover by sending to wrong address but will not replace or refund

Cars & Transport

The incident started in the beginning of December of last year, where the snow caused a rip in my car cover. I tried contacting them for two weeks to see if it was possible to get repaired, none of my email or phone messages were returned.

I then decided to try calling them again, weeks later, and never received any replies.

I decided to contact the vendor that I purchased the cover from, Heaven For Cars and they authorized the repair, and told me to ship the cover to the manufacturer, CoverKing. I shipped the cover for repair, as per the instructions given me by Heaven4Cars, on 12/6 under UPS Next Day Air, which CoverKing received on 12/9.

I was later informed by that the cover was shipped back to me, on 12/26.

After waiting weeks without receiving the cover I contacted Heaven4Cars again, and all they did was provide me with the UPS tracking number, of which I had to trace the package myself.

I then found out from the UPS web online tracking that the destination city was not correct, so I called UPS
and they informed me that it was originally sent to my old address from two years ago. It was then apparent
that manufacturer's people ignored both the label on the box and the letter I enclosed (copy available), both of
which contained my present address.

UPS Also informed me that they had corrected the address, where they obtained the correction from is anybodys guess. But it was not correct, and the end result was it was sent off to an unknown destination and
subsequently lost.

I have been trying since then to get a replacement cover, and have not been able to obtain any information
other than one email sent to me from Heaven4Cars on 1/31 stating that a new cover was ordered and will
ship soon. I have not received any replacement cover or a refund.

I have since yet to hear from anyone from either company. Although the email receipts indicated that the
messages were read. Plus faxes were also never replied to.

I was able to find out from UPS on 2/27 that the lost package claim was completed and that a check was sent to CoverKing for the cost of the lost cover and the shipping charges.

As of today, all CoverKing will do is redirect me to Heaven For cars, and CoverKing refuses to take any responsilility, even when it is aparent and documented that they lost the cover due to incompetance.
