Direct Lease America Or American Lease Corp., David Andrew Camp, D. Andrew Camp, Andrew Camp Car lease scam using bait and switch, York, California, Pennsylvania

As a prior customer of Mr. David Andrew Camp (aka David Camp, Andrew Camp), I do not hesitate in calling him a scam and rip-off artist. I unfortunately read through this site and found another posting regarding the same person, albeit too late for me. I was scammed the same exact way as the other person on this website.

HOW IT WORKS:
Consumers are looking for a more cost effective way of obtaining a car lease. Direct Lease America, www.directleaseamerica.com and now American Lease Corp www.americanleasecorp.com advertise leases on all cars at more affordable prices than car dealerships.

Mr. Camp has all but abandoned Direct lease America and now utilizes American lease corp.com to get business. They are lease wholesalers and dont have the overhead of a dealership and also have various financing options for your lease and can provide better pricing. They also advertise on sites such as swapalease.com and other auto lease websites.

So, you make the call or inquire about a car and tell them the exact car that you want. Mr. Camp will call you back until he can reach a competitive price to your satisfaction. "Wow, that price is so much better than the dealer is offering, I am getting such a great deal" Of course you are, because you are being scammed. Next, he finds the car you are looking for and will offer to deliver it for free.

Next, Mr. Camp sends the paperwork to you and offers this great "multi-term lease" where he promises that you can get out of the car after 24-36 months and he takes the car back and re-leases it to someone. How can this be?

Mr. Camp claims that his contract supercedes the lease from the finance Company (i.E. GMAC, Wells Fargo, US Bank, Mercedes etc...) NOT TRUE! Throughout the whole process Mr. Camp is telling you anything and everything that you want to hear and about his life to get you "on the hook."

At this point, Mr. Camp also gets your credit card so he can charge $1,500 or so as a down payment on the car, which he claims is refundable. Oh by the way, my credit card was charged $4,000 a few months later for charges that I knew nothing about.

At this point, I am waiting for the lease paperwork to come from the lender. I finally receive it and it is for much higher monthly payments and for a 63 month lease. Who agreed to this??? Mr. Camp acts like he is shocked and that this was the only way that they could write the lease due to the residual values or whatever load of crap is claiming. Mr. Camp states that he will write you a check for the difference in the monthly payments and that he does this sort of thing all the time.

For whatever reason, you want to believe this guy because you want the car and you want the "negotiated low cost deal." Also, I have a hard time beleiving that Mr. Camp could lie to me about this whole process as we try to be trusting people. He is a likeable guy, great salesmen and apparently quite the con artist. So I sign the paper work and send it back and wait for the car. This could also take another 2 months with the way Mr. Camp operates. The car finally arrives and hopefully it is the same car that you bargained for. Mr. Camp now gets PAID on a car with high lease payments for 63 months, so he has achieved his goal, and now screw you Mr. Consumer.

Then the fun begins, you try to get the check that he promised you.
GOOD LUCK because you will never get it and now you are stuck in a 63 month lease at a higher payment than you could have received from even a dealership. This is going on for way over a year.

Mr. Camp will promise to send you checks and wires and will BLATANTLY LIE TO YOUR FACE!!! I have never been so frustrated or aggravated with any that I have ever dealt with in a business transaction.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do not trust him or give him any business or money. He will tell you whatever you want to hear, but they are all lies and this a big scam.
