Texas Direct Auto
Misrepresentation houston texas

Cars & Transport

I went through ebay found a vehicle i was interested in, did not want to spend the time bidding on it so i called texas direct auto in houston, tx and talked to david agreed on the price and set an appointment (9:30am) to purchase the vehicle on saturday oct. 11 2008 this was on wednesday oct. 8 2008.

He took a $200.00 deposit (credit card) over the phone. They only do appointments. Before going i read all the negative and very few positive feedback about this company so being aware of this i printed all pictures and descriptions of the vehicle (2007 dodge lone star) no dents or damage shown or descripted in sales pitch.

Got there at 9:15am signed in waited until 9:50am to david, he stated did we have an appointment, i took him we sure did, called you direct and reconfirmed on friday the 10th - you stated the truck was ready to go, so he took about 15 minutes to bring the truck around to view and test drive (mine you this truck was sold and was supposed to be ready for pickup).

Upon the arrival the truck was dirty, left rear door dented in, right front corner bumper scratched and black rubbed marked as well as the dented area, big scratch in tailgate, had 7 lug nuts missing off of the truck. All this was not in the pictures displayed and when asked he stated well we are pack them in tight say they would take care of it.

Took truck for test drive at 55-60 mph vibration bad. Took back showed david said all this would be taken care. The truck would be ready tuesday morning. Wasted that morning. Called david monday afternoon he stated truck was ready asked him about the vibration he stated it was taken care of.

Got there tuesday morning at 9:30am (took off work) lo0oked the truck over they mismatched some off the wall lug nuts / someone had taken a ball point pen and made an appx 12 inch mark on the driver's seat (leather) that was not there before, the right front wheel was bent (not there before - actually pulled out my e-bay pictures and showed him.

I test drove the vehicle the vibration was worst than before. Took it back and told david it was unacceptable that the conditions were not fixed (the truck only had 14,000 miles on it. Told him to either have the tires replaced/rim fixed / proper lug nuts installed / and ink removed from the seat or deduct $550.00 from the selling price and i would have it fixed.

By the way the dent in the left rear door was fixed but you could still see where the dent was. He state i will go talk to my manager, after about 10 minutes he came back stated that the manager was not going to do anythng he was already loosing money on it, yeh right his idiot people not caring how they drive around there is what caused the dents.

So no deal was done / a wasted day again / the deposit was refunded and i left. My advise do not deal with them what i saw / and how they treat the vehicles - swapping parts - damaging - selling them as high end vehicle at lower prices is a bunch of bull-if not for the comments from considered people like you and taking the description and pictures with me because of the articles i read, i would have been ripped off.

The whole operation there is a joke - my opinion they are out to get what they can, as much as they can, and who ever they can. Be smart people, do not buy from them - once you drive off you are on your own cause they got your money - thats all their concern with.
