I bought a used car from "one stop auto". I understand it was purchased "as is" but what i am about to report will dumbfound and astonish you; that another human being could be so heartless!

The purchase was made 10/13/07. Tony was the guy at the "one stop" that i bought the car from. I put $500 down and financed (it was listed @ $2499) the rest including dealer prep, etc. Three blocks out of the lot the check engine lite went on. This is just the beginning.

After putting in $2000 in repairs, paying my $100 every 2 weeks in a timely fashion for 8 months ($2500), i called "one stop" to ask if they would swap this death-trap out for another comparable car. My 17 yr. Old daughter and i just needed to get around town and feel safe. I exhausted my roadside service by useing 10 tows in less than 8 months and could no longer have that service. That was 4 months ago.

I was told to call mike, the owner, and talk to him. I got mike on the phone and asked, pleaded, for the switch. He told me tony stole $50,000 from him and he was closing "one stop" in 3 weeks and too bad! He had his own problems to deal with. I asked if i would send my payments to the same address. He said "yes". I continued to send my payments to one stop, in a timely fashion, and figured i had to "bite the bullet".

Last wednesday nite, 10/08/08, the car had it's last ride, with my daughter driving and another teen with her. Something about the spindle, cv axle and ball joint. The car swerved to the right hit a bush and, thank you god, the kids were unscathed. The car is sitting in the parking lot of my apt. Complex now (after the tow cost me $200). 3 ft. Away was a cement telephone pole (they could have hit that)... If the car would have gone left... Oncoming traffic! You get the scenerio!

Today is wednesday, 10/15/08. After trying to reach mike since last thursday i finally got him. I left word with his employee, cory, at his towing business last monday and told cory the story. ALL I WANT IS FOR MIKE TO TAKE BACK THE CAR AND RELEASE ME OF THE LOAN!!! My daughter and the other teen could have been seriously hurt or killed! Thank you god!

I talked to mike and explained what happened. He told me "can't your insurance fix it?". (among other things said i will not at this moment in time express). I told him my daughter never wants to drive or even be in that car again. Then i asked"do you have children? He has 3. I said "as a parent, don't you think you would be incrediblely upset if this happened to one of yours?" i told him i would appreciate if he would come and take the car back and release me from the loan. The kids could have been seriosly hurt or DIED!

Here's the clincher... His answer was... MAYBE SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE DIED, THEN YOU COULD COLLECT MONEY, AND NOT BE STRAPPED SO TIGHT! He continued to say give him $500 and he will come and take the car and release me of the loan. I am a single mom, i told him. I am sole support of the family. Can someone please help me?
