Sell's ex-girlfriend a car under my credit

In August of my ex-girlfriend, who I was living with at the time, came home with a used 02 Bonneville from Gatorland Toyota.

At the time I thought nothing of it. "Great", she took some initiative and went out and financed a car. Even though I didn't know how they gave her credit because in the five years I was with her she had maybe worked for 6 months delivering flowers.

After we split up and I moved out, I started receiving calls from credit card companies, bill collectors etc. About credit cards that I had never signed for or used let alone had in my possession.

After getting a free credit report to try and figure out what was going on I discovered that I'm the joint applicant to the tune of 16,288.80 (after finance charges) for a used 02 Bonneville with 45,000 miles on it that they sold to her for 12,062.63.

I have never even visited Gatorland Toyota let alone put my signature on a contract. All of the information that I have uncovered so far has come from sources external to the dealership. When I tried to contact them they just blew me off. I talked to CHRIS and he was very rude. He said that he could'nt give me any information on the loan because it would be like giving information out on a neighbor. I called back to ask them how they could take a signature without any identification and he just said that "my name is nowhere in their system and he couldn't help me".

Somebody help, my 96 blazer is on its last legs and I might have to purchase something else in the near future. With this on my credit report it's going to be tough.
