Countrywide Auto Transport
Dishonest, unreliable company

This company offered me auto transport in a professional, timely manner. I received neither and received a damaged vehicle that they refuse to pay for. My sister-n-law was using my car and was ordered to report to Iraq for war, she was scheduled to leave on Sep. 21. I contacted the auto transporters and they told me they would pick my vehicle up within 5 days maximum and have it deliverd to me within 2 days. Which was perfect because I was scheduled to leave town on Sep 25. I paid for transport on Sep, 16 and the vehicle was not picked up until Sep, 25. Which meant not only was my car unsecure for 4 days but when they delivered it to me I would not be in town. So I had a church member to sign for the car when they delivered it. It arrived on Sep. 27. I came back on Sep 28 and noticed 5 huge dents in the roof of my car with multiple scratches. The dents were so fresh the paint was still chipping away with the slightest touch of my finger. I called Countrywide and after being hung up on twice by Trisha, the calims coordinator, I was told that since since I had someone else sign for the vehicle that they were not liable for any damages. I told her that I would have been there to sign for the vehicle had it been picked up and delivered when promised. I took it to a Toyota body shop and was told by the shop manager that the damage to my car was common, he sees it alot when dealing with inexperienced drivers or drivers in a hurry to unload and pick up another load. The company is refusing to refund any of my payment and will not cover any of the damages to my vehicle.
