Poor service and inflated prices

I took my car to Scotts for a check engine light and tune up, after diagnostics I was given a verbal estimate of around 300 dollars. I was billed 650 dollars and treated like moron when I asked questions about the bill. 6-month-old spark plug wires were needlessly replaced, the plugs were not. I left the car with a half a tank of gas, but told that it was out of gas and I was charged for gas. I was charged 260 dollars for an O2 sensor that costs 30 bucks.

On top of all of that I did not get the tune up I asked for! 6 days later my car had a horrible clanging noise and over the phone Nick tells me that it is my fault and the place that changed my oil last must have done something, it had nothing to do with their work. (I was 2000 miles into an oil change and not had it changed in 2 months) Over the Phone! He didn't ever offer to look at it! He got very rude and defensive and told me to talk to Paul the manager. I contacted Paul and he said that Nick was the manager. So I got hold of the owner and he stood by his inflated unfair pricing of parts and the telephone diagnosis! I'm taking my car somewhere else to fix their mistake! I'm a college student and this has been a significant financial set back that will impact my budget the rest of the school year. I was lied to and scammed!

I think the company has substandard values, poor character and will take anybody they can for a ride! I'm telling everybody I can never never take their car to Scott's!!! I have no idea how they were ever rated best in lubbock. I wonder who generates that list, advertisers?
