Trade-in offer way below Blue Book

Took my 99 Ford F-150 to Gunn Nissan to trade for a new car. I looked up the Blue Book and NADA values before leaving. Blue Book: $13800, NADA $14750, so I expected to get $13500 or thereabouts. Showed the truck to the used car manager... He seemed excited, it has less than 34000 miles, and is loaded, so I know he was hoping to get it. After an hour of farting around, the sales manager comes back with a buy order for $11,500. What a joke! She said that was the best offer they could get for it. BS! The used car manager was sure to put it on the lot and sell it for 17K or more.

Then I remembered (lightbulb goes on here), I had taken a Camry in to Gunn Dodge (same nefarious company, different manufacturer) for a trade-in, and it too came back about $2000 below blue book. This must be a standard practice for these jokers.

I took my truck to Carmax, and asked to get a trad-in value, and they came back with $13550... Much more like it! So I save $2000 bucks by walking away from the Gunn (pointed at my head) dealership. I hope all of you learn from this, I have! I wil never do business with someone who intentionally tries to rip me off.
