On 5/19 we placed an internet order for an exhaust system for an F350. On 5/28 an exhaust tip wrapped in only bubble wrap with a label applied to it was delivered by UPS. We kept waiting and waiting for the rest of the exhaust to arrive.

By 6/17/08, still no exhaust and a call was placed to RPM — they told us that the purchase order was sent directly to the manufacturer who claimed they only received an order for the tip! Then we were told the exhaust was backordered for at least two weeks

At that time we told them that we wanted to cancel the order and they said that we would have to ship the tip back to them before they could give us a credit and we were given a return authorization number. Spent $18 and change to ship the tip back only to have the package returned as "Refused"

When I called them on it, they said they had no idea why the package was refused and to take a picture of the box with the authorization number on it and e-mail it to them. They would start the process to have the package picked up by UPS. The package has been sitting here for a week!

When I called them today (7/3) to find out why the package hadn't been picked up, the same person I talked to last week first told me that the reason why the package had been refused was because they didn't accept packages from the US Postal Svs. — only UPS, Fedex or DHL — for insurance reasons! Odd, but why didn't they tell me that in the first place? I was put on hold while he talked to his "boss" - when he came back on he proceeded to tell me that he couldn't arrange for a pickup of the package by UPS — it was against policy! Funny — did policy change in the week since I'd talked to him? He said that I should again ship the package to them (they'd reimburse me for the first and second time I shipped, right!). When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he talked around in circles, put me on hold and came back saying that due to the holiday, there were no supervisors around! Another lie!

Told him at that point that I was through messing around and would handle the matter directly with my credit card company. Process has been started to dispute the $386.80 charged to my card for the exhaust which was never received. As for the tip, who knows but I'm not paying any more $ to send it back!

Bottom line — stay away from these guys!
