Tire Works Total Car Care
Beware of tire works

Cars & Transport

On june 5.2008 i took my toyota highlander in there for a oil change. I was starting to worry because it took 2 hours and the salesman frank said they couldnt figure out how to take the oil cover off. They said i need trans oil flush, and my shocks were blown. I told them just to do the oil change.

Several days later my engine light comes on, i immediately took it to toyota. They had to hook it up to the computer and someone had left the vsv hose off and overfilled the transmission fluid. Also there was nothing wrong with the shocks. I asked toyota why the light wouldnt have gone off right away, and they said it takes a while for the sensor to decect that the vcv hose was disconnected. So it cost me $245.00 to have it diganoised and i had to have the tranny fluid drained and refilled.

I then went to tire works and told the manager mike there i wanted a refund for my $31.92 for the oil change. He said he didnt like my attitude, was very beligerent and said "have a nice life lady". I had that afternoon called tire works corporate office and the two voicemails they connected me to said mailbox full. I then e-mailed the corporate office. After i left the store after talking to mike, i called and left 2 messages with the corporate office - complaining about the work, saying i wanted a refund, and addressing the unproffesionalism in their managment team. Its been about a week, and not one word from the corporate office. I would recommend to stay clear of tire works, when the corporate office wont even call you back, that means trouble.

My wife car had a slow leak in the back wheel. I had put in air the morning and thought it would be OK. But when she went to the car in the evening the tire was flat. She works in Washington DC so
