Mercruiser Marine Carver Yachts "Is there Help for the little guy?" Being stomped on by three huge companies Stillwate

I purchased a Brand New Carver yacht (396 Aft cabin Motor yacht) with Dual 454 Mercruiser Mag Horizon Engines in From Staten Island Boat Sales on Staten Island NY. After only 80 hrs, My boat suffered from a problem that the dealer categorized to me as "water intrusion".. Where the engine ingests water thru the exhaust system resulting in contamination in the internal part of the engines heads, and pistons, which rusts valves and seats consequently. Loss of power, (compression in the cylinders) bad fuel economy, and ultimately requiring full engine replacement.

Under warranty at that time, the dealer (Staten Island Boats Sales).. Had to smash my starboard windows out, so they could get a crane in the cabin and hoist out the defective starboard engine (located in the floor under the salon of the boats interior) at that time.

Its my understanding, this is a common occurrence (Defective Engines) with Mercruiser 454 Horizon engines, and Carver 396 Motor Yachts seems that they had designed the exhaust to low according to the yacht dealer and they said that a modification had to be made which was to raise the exhausts 4 inches higher to avoid this ingestion problem from happening again.
Mercruiser engines, Seem to have this problem in many boats similar to mine, hence leading me to believe with this combined mishap, (bad exhaust Design)
coupled with this troubled engine, that its guaranteed that this will happen again to unsuspecting owners.

Funny part is recently with only 300 hrs on these motors the same thing happened again.

The starboard engine... After the first season... Only had 80 hrs the first time.

Now with 300 hrs the exact same thing happened again. Only this time both engines suffered.

I am told by the dealer I purchased the boat from (Staten Island Boat Sales) that Carver Yachts themselves discontinued using this 454 Horizon Mercruiser engine, because this problem was evident. And no fix.

Now that I was passed the warranty period I was told by the boat dealer and Carver yachts, as well as by Mercruiser, that I was on my own and had to pay to fix this problem on my own, replacement of both engines would cost me $40,000 to replace.

I am now in the process of trying to sue Mercruiser, Carver and the dealer where I bought this boat Brand new Boat in 2001.

I Have given all three the opportunity to rectify this problem by sending a letter of intension to sue to all three parties. All three denied my problem as if it was something they had never heard of or wouldn't acknowledge any of this defective engine difficulty.

I spoke to Mike Osmanski From Carver Yachts, and he denied the opportunity to fix my problem, as well the dealer I got this boat from new, saying they are not the ones responsible, and that it was Mercruiser's issue since they were the ones with the Defective Engines.

Mercruisers answer was "your outta warranty"... We're not even coming to see this problem... 300 Hrs... They have a defective engine. The boat dealer themselves admitted to me, changing (12) of these engines for the same exact problem. Well if anyone here can help me with some evidence of this problem other the ones I already know about, I would appreciate the help... And I am hoping all these owners will get together for a class action suit.
P.S. There is an article on line published by the highly respected "BOAT US MAGAZINE" (Big blocks choke on water) where they outline the exact problem I, and these engine's are suffering.

With cars there is such a thing as a recall, why is that not the case on boats?

I am not as financially powerful as These Three Huge companies, and therefore cannot afford to take on attorney fee's as they could to battle them in court.
Is there help here for The Little Guy?
