Toyota Of Henderson
Refused to return deposit

On Saturday 2-16 We went to Toyota of Henderson, N.C. To purchase a New 2008 Toyota Camry XLE. The Camry we wanted had been sold the night before. Toyota of Henderson said there was a like Camry at another dealer they could get the first of the week. We were to get it on Wednesday 2-20. We paid a $500.00 deposit. When we got home we learned from the internet that the 2009 Camry was available. We called early Monday morning to cancel the order for the 2008 and advised them not to get the 2008 Camry from another dealer. When we were working the deal on the 2008 Camry nothing was mentioned about 2009 being available. After we did not purchase the the 2009 Camry was offered for more money. We did not want to put that amount in a Camry. Toyota Of Henderson said they have had a policy for 15 years that they do not return deposits and they were not going to give my $500.00 back. I feel that I should get my $500. Deposit because I got nothing for it. I informed them early Monday before they had any expense going after the Camry at another dealer. Do not pay a deposit to Toyota of Henderson because it will be gone forever.
