Cars & Transport

On 2 February my garage mechanic submitted an Internet inquiry regarding a Transfer case and Differential for my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Almost immediately Thoroughbred replied back that they had the part he needed. He contacted Thoroughbred on 4 February and was quoted a price. I then provided my credit card information to him and he in turn provided it to Thoroughbred on 5 February.

On the 7th of February I noticed a charge to my card in the amount of $450.00 by Thoroughbred Auto Parts. I called my mechanic and he told me he was told by "Joyce" to call back in a few days for a tracking and invoice number. (Seems to be a pattern forming here Joyce) He has "Joyce" several times inquiring about the tracking and invoice number and each time he is told to call back or "Joyce" will call him back.

I am now in the fray and two days ago I contacted "Joyce" requesting the same information and was told by her that she would call me back. (Thankfully I didn't promise to hold my breath) I was asked for an invoice number and I could not give her one since I was never provided with one, which is ODD beyond belief.

So here we are a month later and shockingly enough, I still do not have my part. Because it has been a month, and I have read plenty of Internet reports, I'm beginning to think I will never see my part. So I sent "Joyce" a nice email telling her that Thoroughbred was going to make contact with me and let me know where my part is now or when I can expect a full refund. I think one month is more than enough time and to be quite honest, I am not into excuses and I can tell when I am being played.

On a plus side, when I reported this to my bank, I had the CSR review the reports on usacomplaints.com concerning these smucks. He chuckeled a bit and told me to be patient as the bank begins processing my claim. They will refund my money and then go after these losers.

Ironically, I just received an email from Thoroughbred in response to my email to them. Try not to laugh too hard at these smucks when you read their signature block.
