On December 30 I purchased a vehicle from the Pre-Owned Inventory. My credit was not good and I was told that anyone was financed. After telling them that I had $400.00 for a down payment the salesman went into the sales manager's office and they stayed in there and talked for over an hour. The salesman finally came out and said that they found financing but I would have to put $700.00 down. I was desperate at that time because I did not have a car so I came up with the other $300.00. I was told by the sales manager that if I kept my payments up for the next six months that I would be able to come back in and trade the current car in for a newer one. So with not missing any payments and making more on the payments than what was due I contacted Shawnee Mission Kia on December 30 because I saw a newer car on their web site that I was interested on. The sales rep took all of the information and stated that he would call me back in 30 minutes. 3 hours later I called them back because I never heard back and was told that I owed to much on the current car for a trade in and they would not be able to help me. So what he was telling me is that they over charged me for the current car. I am not paying on a car that does not run and Shawnee Mission Kia is not willing to do anything about it. The car was vandalized in September with the wheels and tires being stolen, and the salesman told me that I should have just had the insurance company total it so that I would be out from under it. This is a 10 year old car that I am paying $320.00 a month on for the next year and half that I cannot drive.
