I got fired based on the assumptions of my "feelings"

I worked with Stevens for approx. 7 months when I was involved in an accident in Gulf, Illinois. The truck although unaffected by the accident was towed to the "nearest" secure area Rockford, Il.

I then waited two days for them to tell me to get on a bus back to Dallas to take care of the retraining before taking a bus back to my truck. Day three after accident I was in Dallas after 160 dollars in taxi fairs and a 50 dollar hotel room. There i waited an additional 7 days for the final outcome of the accident.

In the end I was disqualified by Adrian, the safety director, as a driver. This decision was based on Adrian deciding that I did not show enough "remorse" for the accident and my "history" of "red flags". My history is a low speed backing accident shortly after going solo and getting stuck in a bob tail parking area at a Tyson plant.

I was given a bus ticket home 9 days after the incedent. All my personal belongings are still on the truck. To include all my clothes. I was sent away with $1.64 and no food. And only the clothes on my back.

To top everything off, I was an Alliance Lease operator. So the 9 days I waited in Dallas to be "disqualified" I was still accuring debts. I now owe approx. $1,700. While in the 10 week training program, my car was repossesed because the $350 gross training pay was not enough to cover food and car payment. So now I dont even have a way to get to work when I find a new job. I also have to pay for the shipping to get what little I own back from them.

I really incourage any possible new hires to try to find any other company to apply with before choosing Stevens. This company does NOT back their drivers and will not hesitate to leave them with literally nothing.
